When I arrived, the stylist was running quite late and seemed rather rushed. I explained that I was having it cut because I am getting married on May and had an engagement photo shoot the next day and needed to look at my best. My hair was very long and very curly, when straightened, it came to my waist. I explained that I needed length because my hair is so curly and it becomes very hard to style without any weight to it, so I needed it kept long with the ends trimmed and a new fringe cut. He showed me how much needed to come off, which was around an inch and a half at most. I was happy with this. The chair I was in was spun to face him so that he could shape the front and cut my fringe (meaning I couldn't see what he was doing) but when he spun me back to face the mirror, he had cut my hair to my chin at the front with some bits cut level with my upper lip in clumps. The fringe was cut erratically and to the side with some bits left longer at the back. I said at the time that I felt it was getting too short (I'm terrible with confrontation) but he kept hacking into it. When I left the salon and paid, I struggled not to cry there and then. I hated the cut and knew that I would forever look back on my engagement photos and hate them, having paid £1000 to have them done. I have had my fringe tidied at City Cuts in Baker Street and that now looks better, but the stylist agreed that the cut was terrible and there is nothing I can do but hope that it grows before my wedding day.
