Headmasters Harrow Reviews

Don’t usually do reviews but my experience here was one to talk about, saw Leyla to have a Balayage and cut and the whole experience was amazing! She really went into detail about my hair and my concerns and what I wanted to have done, best of all it exceeded my expectations and my hair looks flawless, it also helps to see their work on Instagram!

Terrible service, booked kids appointment 1 month in advance, confirmed the day before then rang me 2 hours before appointment and cancelled, unable to give me any other appointment that day not offer any alternatives, totally unbothered that I was upset about his, don't seem to want business at all! Will be going elsewhere

I used to go to the salon many years ago. There was a lovely lady called Clare who used to cut my hair the whole team back then in 2009 seemed a lot better then they do now. I visited them the other day as I had moved back to the area. The receptionist was rude nothing like I remembered before but it was a different girl from before which was a shame as she would always make me a coffee with some biscuits and always bring me extra ones and we used to chat whilst waiting for my appointment. Then came time to see my stylist she just looked like a hot mess. My hair was completely wrong when I spoke to the manager Stuart I do believe his name is to find out he is actually the salons owner well I was gob smacked he was nothing other then rude himself he did not offer to be booked back in to have it done by himself who I was lead to believe he is one on the top stylists in the salon he did nothing other try to force me to reception and said that they would deal with it Well needless to say it wasn't worth the money or the walk to there and I will be complaining to their head office about this as it's a disgrace.

The worst hairdressers I've ever been to in my life!
I went in knowing exactly what I want, told the hairdresser this but left with hair that is exactly the same.
I told her that I wanted full on frontal bangs, without asking me if I had bangs previously she said no it's too much work we'll give you a more subtle fringe and maybe next time we can look at a full fringe. She asked where I part my hair, I pointed to my left side and she said that she's going to start my fringe in the middle to be safe. Really? I wanted a short fringe and after asking at least twice to cut shorter she went down to my chin.
As I have long curly hair, I wanted to get a lot of layers because I was losing my curls. She said no, next time we can look at getting more layers. There's never going to be a next time if you don't satisfy me the first! What bugs me is before the process, she asked me what I wanted and I told her I want a drastic change. If she knew she couldn't give it to me why not say so? I would have gone elsewhere and paid half the price for something I wanted!
This happened a month ago, I have complained VIA website, email and txt to arrange a recut to get what I paid for but no one is bothering to answer. I will never step foot into a Headmasters again.

I never been this saloon before.I called lots of time to book an appointment & who ever pickup the phone they keep telling me to call letter on .
I shaw your offer online stand by appointment is £ 28 but for that offer you don't give it to customer so why you gays put the offer ?
My friend been to the saloon before and one of the head dresser called Andriana cut her hair so first I ask for that hairdresser & they keep saying to me she is fully booked she don't have any appointment & than I shaw your offer online & called you guys & I don't know who pick up the pick up the phone & ask for stand by appointment than she says we don't have any appointment but we have one appointment left for the full price. So I can not see any professional attitude towards your business

I have not visited this salon since and this happened a year or so ago.

All I wanted was a simple refresh, not too much to ask for but the result was an unattractive mess.

I have curly hair so the final result is not always predictable but what I don't like is hairdressers experimenting and getting it very wrong.

When I arrived, the stylist was running quite late and seemed rather rushed. I explained that I was having it cut because I am getting married on May and had an engagement photo shoot the next day and needed to look at my best. My hair was very long and very curly, when straightened, it came to my waist. I explained that I needed length because my hair is so curly and it becomes very hard to style without any weight to it, so I needed it kept long with the ends trimmed and a new fringe cut. He showed me how much needed to come off, which was around an inch and a half at most. I was happy with this.

The chair I was in was spun to face him so that he could shape the front and cut my fringe (meaning I couldn't see what he was doing) but when he spun me back to face the mirror, he had cut my hair to my chin at the front with some bits cut level with my upper lip in clumps. The fringe was cut erratically and to the side with some bits left longer at the back. I said at the time that I felt it was getting too short (I'm terrible with confrontation) but he kept hacking into it.

When I left the salon and paid, I struggled not to cry there and then. I hated the cut and knew that I would forever look back on my engagement photos and hate them, having paid £1000 to have them done.

I have had my fringe tidied at City Cuts in Baker Street and that now looks better, but the stylist agreed that the cut was terrible and there is nothing I can do but hope that it grows before my wedding day.

Just awful, booked an appointment with one of the senior stylists, was rushed through! Was told my hair was going to be shampooed before I had even seen my hairdresser. When I asked if the hairdresser needed to see my hair before washing the hairdresser then approached and said we would discuss it after. When in the chair after washing my hair I told the hairdresser what I wanted which was a blunt straight cut. She then proceeded to cut layers into my hair which I DID NOT want or ask for. Then she was about to cut a full fringe in when I have a side sweeper fringe I am growing out! I managed to stop her before she cut it! But she then proceeded to trim my side fringe completely short and jagged looking, having to pin in back as it doesn't sweep anymore as its cut so unevenly and severely. I was so shocked and disappointed. She did not listen or cut my hair in a way that suits my hair texture. Now back at square one with growing out a bad haircut. Very expensive too for what I consider bad service! Never going back

I went to the salon for a hair cut and was offerred a treatment. I declined. When they were washing my hair the stylist said - he's going to apply the treatment so that I can try it. I reluctantly said 'ok' thinking it was a free trial. When it came to paying they charged me £15 for the treatment. I am waiting for a refund.

This is not honest behaviour - basically I was conned into accepting a 1 minute 'treatment' for £15. A treatment that I did not want or know what is actually was.

Needless to say I am striking this salon off my list!
